When we began to work with Kutis Skincare, we knew we had an immediate affinity with their product range and ethos. While we provide labels made from natural materials, Kutis create natural skincare and deodorants, that contain ethically sourced ingredients. Here is their story and how we met…
Tell us a bit about Kutis - how did it all begin?
Kate, the founder of Kutis began making natural skincare products for herself and as gifts for friends over 6 years ago. It wasn't long until friends were telling friends about her creations and demand for her natural products grew. Kate moved from creating at the kitchen table into a workshop and hiring more hands to help in the process.
At the Kutis workshop in rural mid-Wales, the products are still made by hand today. Carefully blending high quality, ethically sourced and 100% natural ingredients into a whole range of products that are nourishing to skin. There's no nasty stuff! All products are genuinely preservative-free making them good for your skin as well as the planet. Our skincare range includes award-winning natural deodorants, lip balms, washing grains, body butters, and facial serums.
How did you find the GREEN LABEL company and what made you contact us?
We came across the GREEN LABEL company through searching online for biodegradable labels. We liked how clear and transparent the information on the website is about the different papers available and what they are composed of.
What were your main criteria for labels and how did we fit with your requirements?
As a business that has a strong sustainability ethos, we have chosen packaging materials that have as little impact on the planet as possible. There are no plastics in our skincare packaging, and we opt for biodegradable materials where we can like the cardboard tubes that our deodorants come in. It was a priority for us to find fully biodegradable labels and the GREEN LABEL company offers just that. As well as the paper, both the adhesive and ink used are biodegradable.
How would you describe the service you received and were there any special challenges that needed to be met?
It’s been excellent service from the GREEN LABEL company, very helpful and responsive. It’s also been a quick turnaround from approving the artwork to receiving the finished labels in the post.
What would you suggest to others thinking about switching to eco-friendly labels?
It’s easy to switch and makes complete sense to do so if you want to keep packaging waste to a minimum.
What are your thoughts on the new labels?
The new labels are just what we were hoping for, we are really happy with the quality.
