Recycled Labels are Here
The GREEN LABEL company specialise in ecofriendly labels and stickers and have just recently added a recycled label material to our current offerings.
The material is Ocean Bound Recycled PP and is made from recycled plastic ocean waste. While it may not be suitable for all, it does offer some advantages, as well as disadvantages.
Ocean Bound Recycled PP labels are good for…
Products where the label is exposed to grease, moisture, and UV light. This could be for food and beverage labels, essential oils, health and beauty, window stickers (https://greenlabels.co.uk/eco-friendly-window-stickers), barcode labels and more.
This material works well on a rigid container or vessel such as glass, metal or plastic.
Most printing processes and different inks can be used, and the labels have a good shelf life.
The recycled content of the material will be exempt from the government plastic packaging tax that was introduced in April 2022.
Where Ocean Bound Recycled Plastic label material will not work well…
Due to the rigid nature of the label material itself this material will not be suitable for tubes or where the packaging has a level of flexibility or squeezability. While the material is made from recycled plastic, it is not recyclable, meaning that under current conditions, it could end up in landfill. The full specification for Ocean Bound Recycled Plastic is available on request but you can find out more information on our website here:
